Picture Perfect

…That has a beginning,
Also has an end.
But
Where and How?…

It was the same spot where they had met for the first time. He used to be the brightest sportsman in his team and she was a nature photographer in a magazine. It happened that he and his friends were on an adventure trip and decided to stay back at that remote place in the mountains for a night. He had stayed sitting near the river bed for long and as he stood up he heard a scream! Actually he had come in the way of where her camera was focussing and had spoiled her picture. "Sorry" is what he had said...

"Sorry" was also what she said when they parted. All he wonders now is who spoiled their picture?

After a picture-perfect wedding, they had really enjoyed life for three years. Then things started changing. He left his sports and joined corporate sector. He needed to travel much for his job and she took up a challenging position and became boss of her team. Now she started remaining tense even in home due to office matters and her condition became worse day by day. He saw the things happening and tried to boost her up. But he was really busy. Though he accepts he could have been better. He could have cut his time spent online on the weekends, or honestly he could have avoided many of the business trips if he really tried. Did he leave much on his fate? Don't know... After all there was another angle to it where he couldn't do anything. Sid.

Sid was in her office and they were good friends. When she started remaining tensed and irritated due to her 'high-profile' job while he remained busy with his profession, Sid came closer to her and she started trusting him more than her husband. Or was that his own male-ego that made him feel that? He didn’t even have time to understand her, or may be he didn’t try enough. In the end it happened that they had a huge fight and she accused him of not caring about her. In a rage he also accused him of treating him like her subordinates in office and of bringing office back to home. She blamed him of doing the same on her and of only accusing her because she was a female.

He looked at the moon, listened to the water, felt the dewdrops, and soaked in the calm breeze. The trees looked too high, sky too dark, air too cold, and water too deep. He looked at the moon. Can something still be done? Is he ready to miss her for his life? Isn't it not too late yet? He will ask her to come back; will try to make things easy; he will even tell her how she was killing herself by her punishing job! He will accept that he was also jealous of Sid; that he didn’t try enough; that he will take care of her… He will make necessary changes in his job… Together they will make things up. Together, they will give it another try. He stood up with a conviction…

The ship of marriage faces many small and big troubles on its way. If we try a bit, we can still take it to its shore…

Enjoy the journey.
