Congress Party does not like Hindu Nationalists

There is a reason why the very party which invented the term ‘Hindu Terrorists’ to appease a group gets combative when it hears the term ‘Hindu Nationalists’. If you identify yourself with your Caste, the party will love it; if you identify yourself with any other religion than Hinduism, our PM will say, “you have first right to get direct cash transfer”; but if you say you are a Hindu, that upsets everything! They don’t need Hindus to know they are Hindus! Easy guess that if Hindus unite without getting divided on the basis of castes; that would be the end of Corruption Raaj in India.

For Cong party, a Hindu Nationalist means one who will never vote for it (in the present tense) and hence the dislike. From what I have read Swami Vivekananda is said to be one of the first proponents of Hindu Nationalism (at least in modern era). Hindu Nationalism is centered around the “nation” and nation building and its welfare are its supreme goals. But for some others, a dynasty or some foreign nation's welfare is ultimate goal. E.g. Communists used to take orders from Russia and hence India is not their central interest; so they are not Nationalists; Hindu or otherwise.
